What You’ll Love

Another original, antique 1899 edition lithograph from the US Geological Survey showing the Ouachita Mountain region of west central Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma (when it was Indian Territory). The map is labeled "Ozark Ridges" because the map carries an earlier, broader use of "Ozark." So, not technically in the Ozarks — just south of them.

In *excellent* condition for a map so old. This is not a reproduction — it is sourced from an atlas. Sold as an individual, framed print, but would pair well with the Ozark Plateau lithograph also for sale (see image of both in carousel).

Details:

  • Edition of 1899, printed 1899
  • 18.5 inches wide x 21.25 inches tall (in frame)
  • Recently custom framed with high-quality Museum Glass to eliminate glare
  • Ready to hang: comes with d-rings and wire already installed on the back

Area captured:

  • Counties: Scott & Polk
  • Rivers: Mountain Fork Little River, Poteau River
  • Ranges: Poteau Mountains
  • Mountains: Black Fork, Chalybeate, Fourche, Irons Fork, Mill Creek, Pine, Rich, Round, Shut-in, Walker
  • Knobs: Pilot Knob
